Golf
Club Development
Many
tinkerers and golfers with outstanding design ideas do not know
how to move their creations forward. Our golf club engineering staff
has launched more than 400 designs to market in the past decade.
Let them help you get your project from paper to form. For many
would-be designers the biggest challenge is executing a representative
physical model. We can affordably execute for you prior to any investments
in tooling. Whether it is a head, shaft, grip, tool or teaching
aide design you need prototyped we are your one stop job shop.
The Sheets Design Group staff provides turn-key development services for some
well established international golf brands. We can do the same for
your organization - from the initial conceptualizing to approval
testing of the engineering samples for production. The typical design
path goes from concept to resin model, then master, tooling and
creation of the first hitable prototypes.
Once
a design has been developed and is approved by the client Sheets Design Group can recommend the best source to handle your manufacturing.
Our staff visits Asian-based foundries, forging companies and CNC
machining shops on an ongoing basis to oversee new projects start
ups and ongoing manufacturing.
Sourcing
& Distribution
We utilize some of the most experiencfed & respected
foundries and forging houses in Asia. Sheets
Design Group can both source your product and handle its distribution
throughout the world. We can also help you in establishing your
partnerships with overseas suppliers.
Golf
Club Testing
Testing golf equipment is fun! Who wouldn't want to do it. At Sheets
Design Group we do more than test - we quantify. From the performance
side we utilize a mechanic hitting robot to take benchmark measurements
of each club's performance. In addition we can conduct focus group
testing for both performance and preference.
Engineering
Audits
Documenting the physical characteristics of a design is one of the
important un-seen steps high performance golf equipment goes through.
Before a design is player or robot tested it undergoes a physical
audit of its general specifications. In addition the center of gravity
is identified in realtion to its three primary axes and the head's
moment of inertia is measured about its face and hosel. The Characteristic
Time of driver faces are measured for conformance to U.S. Golf Association
rules. OEMs have used our services for independent audits of their
suppliers' QC tolerances.
